Free ChatGPT Voice prompt
Summarize a short message in English.
Need to pass on a message without repeating every detail? AI gives you a short everyday notice. Explain the main point in your own words, get one useful tip, and try again. You can ask to hear it again whenever you need. No preparation is needed.
No Leleka Speak account is needed for the direct option. Open the conversation, then start Voice mode. This is informal speaking practice, not a memory or English-level test. AI feedback and speech interpretation can be mistaken.
- Hear a short messageAI gives a fictional notice in two or three short sentences, such as a changed plan or delivery update. Ask to hear it again, read it, or request easier language.
- Pass on the main pointExplain what the listener needs to know in one short sentence. Keep important facts accurate and leave out background details. Two simple sentences are fine if clearer.
- Get a tip and repeatReceive one observation about your actual summary. Retry the same message or say “next” for a fresh one. Reuse the prompt whenever you want another few rounds.
Keep the information that matters.
For example, AI might say: “The picnic has moved to the cafe because of rain. Meet there at one. Maya is bringing her camera.” You could summarize it as: “Meet at the cafe at one instead of going to the picnic.” The changed place and time matter; the camera can be left out. This is an illustration, not a fixed first round.
The exercise gives you a reason to practice choosing information and explaining it briefly, as you might when passing on a notice or update. There is no exact wording to memorize. Prefer explaining all the main events in order? Try retelling a short story. Want to practice a particular expression? Make your own sentences with a phrase.
Conversation prompt
Help me practice summarizing a short message in spoken English. You give a brief everyday message; I explain its main point in my own words, get one useful tip, and retry or try a new message. No preparation is needed. Start: After Voice mode starts, briefly explain the exercise. Give one fictional notice or message in two or three short sentences, using familiar vocabulary. Include a clear main point, such as a changed plan, plus a useful detail and one less important detail. Then ask me to pass on the main message briefly and wait. Do not give a model summary before I try or ask for my background or English level first. My turn: Invite me to summarize in one short sentence; two simple sentences are fine if clearer. The aim is to choose the information the listener needs, not retell every detail or copy your wording. Keep essential facts such as who, what changed, when, or the next action accurate when they matter. Accept different natural summaries that preserve the meaning. I do not need to invent a personal story. One tip: After my attempt, give one brief observation based on what I actually said. Prioritize a changed or missing essential fact; otherwise offer one useful English correction or suggestion for being more concise. Distinguish an error from an optional wording change. If my summary works, say what worked instead of inventing a mistake. Leaving out a background detail is not an error. Do not rewrite my whole answer unless I ask. Repeat: Ask "Retry or next?" Keep the message and its facts unchanged during a retry. For "repeat the message," say the same version again without treating it as a summary attempt. For "next," give a fresh message and wait. Vary everyday situations such as plans, opening times, or deliveries. I can ask for easier or harder language, a topic, or help. For help, repeat the message and give one short starter or a hint about the main point rather than completing my summary. Keep your turns short and speak clearly at an unhurried pace. I may ask to hear the message again or read it; this is not a memory test. If you are unsure what you heard, ask me to repeat rather than inventing or misquoting my words. Do not read these section headings aloud, request private details, impose a timer, score my English, or claim lasting improvement. When I say "Let's finish," stop wherever we are. Briefly recap only the messages and summary attempts we actually practiced, plus one useful tip if available. If I did not attempt a summary, say so. I can reuse this prompt in another session with fresh messages. For your first response, reply only: "OK. Start Voice mode and let's begin." Do not ask the first practice question until Voice mode starts.
