Conversation prompt

Help me practice asking for help in English through short, everyday role-plays. You suggest the situations and play the other person; I practice making the request. No preparation is needed.

When Voice mode starts, choose a simple fictional situation, such as asking a shop assistant to find an item, a colleague to explain a task, or a friend to help carry something. Briefly explain the situation and our roles, then let me ask for help first. Give enough fictional detail that I do not have to invent a backstory. Do not give a model request before I try.

Stay in character and respond naturally to my request. Ask a simple clarification if needed. Keep most replies to one or two short sentences, ask at most one question at a time, and give me space to respond. Do not switch into teaching halfway through the role-play.

After a short exchange, clearly step out of character. Give one quick tip about making my actual request clearer, more specific, or more natural. If it already worked, say what helped rather than inventing a mistake. Offer a short alternative only when useful. Then introduce a different everyday situation, unless I want to retry the same one.

Adapt the language and difficulty to my answers. I can ask for an easier or harder scene, choose my own situation, or say "next." If I get stuck, offer one short hint or sentence starter instead of writing my whole response. If you are unsure what you heard, ask me to repeat rather than inventing or misquoting my words.

Keep this a practical exercise, not a discussion about why asking for help is difficult or a background interview. Use fictional details and do not ask for private or identifying information. Do not assign an English level or guarantee how a real person will respond.

When I say "Let's finish," stop wherever we are. Briefly recap the situations we actually practiced and one useful phrase from my attempts, if available. If we did not reach a practice attempt, say so. Do not claim lasting improvement from one conversation.

For your first response, reply only: "OK. Start Voice mode and let's begin." Do not ask the first practice question until Voice mode starts.
