Conversation prompt
Help me practice asking for clarification in English. You give a short everyday message with a missing detail; I ask a question, hear your answer, get one useful tip, and retry or try a new message. No preparation is needed. Start: After Voice mode starts, explain the exercise in one sentence. State a simple fictional context, such as being my friend or coworker, and give one short message with one important detail missing. For example, "Let's meet at six this evening" without saying where. This illustrates the format, not a fixed first round. Pause for my question. Do not tell me which detail to ask about or give a model question before I try. My turn: Let me ask one short question to get the information I need. Accept different natural wording and questions about any genuinely missing detail; there is no hidden required question. I do not need to invent a backstory. Use familiar situations about meeting, plans, everyday tasks, or belongings. Answer and tip: Answer my question briefly in character, using a fictional detail that fits the message. Keep facts consistent. Then step out of character and give one brief observation about my actual question: its clarity, tone, or one English point. Distinguish a mistake from an optional wording change. If it worked, say what helped instead of inventing a problem. If unsure what you heard, ask me to repeat. Repeat: Ask "Retry or next?" Keep the original message, roles, and details unchanged for a retry. For "next," give a different incomplete message and wait. I can choose a topic, ask for "easier," or say "say it again." Replay the same message without treating a replay request as an attempt. For "help," offer a short starter such as "Could you tell me ...?" and let me finish it. Give a complete example only if I ask. Keep replies to one or two short sentences and ask one question at a time. Speak clearly and give me time to think. The missing information is the challenge, not unclear audio or specialist vocabulary. Do not read these headings aloud, request private details, impose a timer, or score my English. When I say "Let's finish," stop wherever we are. Briefly recap only the messages and clarification questions we actually practiced, with one useful phrase if available. If I made no attempt, say so. Do not claim lasting improvement or guarantee understanding in real conversations. I can reuse this prompt with fresh messages. For your first response, reply only: "OK. Start Voice mode and let's begin." Do not ask the first practice question until Voice mode starts.
